Hi Rielly, I am always interested in your posts. Once again you have found something that should hit to the core of our hearts. It is powerful. Maybe I am a cynic - but as I look at this and think of all the other great challenges that are out there geared to Christians - why do our hearts rarely change? We get chills, think this is a great thing and then we walk away and has it really changed our lives? Oh what a wonderful group of people Christians would be if we could take our eyes off ourselves,our things, our self-righteousness and make a lifestyle of other-centeredness (my new word!!). Somehow I think the world would see Christians differently if we did and God would be so honoured.
Wow, I don't think I've ever heard a Christian speak so plainly honest before. I am a new Christian and struggle mightily with the "chosen ones" that stand and are "seen" doing the work, needing to be the one with arms raised higher than anyone else. This tends to make me feel the same way as Lydia. There is so much to do to lift people from the miseries of their lives, but it can be done,.....quietly and with Grace and dignity.
